What Works? A Guide to Quit
Smoking Methods

What Works? A Guide to Quit Smoking MethodsWhile millions of smokers try to quit each year, only about 1 in 4 uses proven treatments in the quit attempt. Proven cessation treatments can double or triple a smoker’s chance of successfully quitting.

To give smokers easy-to-understand information on the most commonly used cessation methods, NTCC created What Works? A Guide to Quit Smoking Methods. The guide follows consumer demand and health literacy principles—offering a visually appealing and easy-to-read format to give smokers accurate information on the most effective quit smoking treatments.

The What Works? guide is based on Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence: 2008 Update—Clinical Practice Guideline.
